New Healthy WolfNet Lunches

Ever since my first day at WolfNet, there has always been pizza on Friday.  ALWAYS!  Then one day…everything changed.  When the email went out that lunch was here, and saw everyone headed for the conference room, casually, I followed.  While I’ll never be tall enough to see what is on the conference table, I do have a nose, and it smelled like sandwiches.  These weren’t just any old sandwiches, they were SANS MAYONAISE!

As it turns out there are a couple of people in the office gearing up for weddings, have started a 90-day workout program and some are just trying to eat healthier.  Since none of these are a concern to me, why do I have to suffer with pieces of dropped lettuce when I’m used to dropped hamburger or pepperonis?

I couldn’t believe that swapping out pizza for subs could be THAT much healthier, so I did some research.  Lately we have been ordering subs from Jimmy Johns and when we do order pizza, we get Pizza Hut. If I had to average what I see most people take from the lunch buffet I think this would be pretty well accurate.

 

 

 

 

 

I can’t imagine the amount of exercise required to burn off 900 calories, so I Googled that too!  To see how many calories you could burn check the Calorie Burn Calculator to see how many calories you are burning.  As an 8 pound dog, I would have to walk at 2 mph for 89.2 hours just to burn off 900 calories when eating pizza, so I’ll stick to the subs.  I guess it does payoff to swap out pizza for subs one day a week and save myself 540 calories.

    Thanks for posting that research, Millie! Wow, that’s one very long walk you’d have to take if you managed to get your paws on a slice of pizza. I’m glad for the alternation between pizza and subs, for the calorie savings AND the variety!
